Training

IGN's training programs utilize participatory, experiential, and activity-based learning techniques. Programs are custom designed to the needs of the sponsoring organization and are often held for a duration of three to seven consecutive days or a 6-8 week period. Recipients of the training programs are 1) teams of volunteers preparing for international service learning trips, 2) individuals or a group within a business or faith-based organization, and 3) groups of potential leaders in developing countries. Through a variety of educational methodologies, the training curriculum content guides people in a process of learning more about themselves, others and the world around them. In all programs, individuals assess available resources, strengths and skills, identify needs and define areas of growth opportunity and then cooperatively design a plan for individual and systemic change. Through partnerships with other like-minded organizations, IGN is uniquely situated to come alongside these plans in order to practically empower people to make individual, local and global change possible.
